5 Back to School Reminders

For all of the parents who have girls in high school with hopes of playing NCAA Division I basketball please, connect with her counselor to make sure your daughter is on pace to meet the eligibility requirements.

It would be devastating to get close to graduation and miss some courses.

Below are the list of courses needed. Let me know if you have any questions.

NCAA DIVISION I ACADEMIC STANDARDS
ENGLISH -4 years
MATH (Algebra I or higher) -3 years
NATURAL/ PHYSICAL SCIENCE (Including one year of lab, if offered) -2 years
ADDITIONAL (English, math, or natural/physical science)- 1 year
SOCIAL SCIENCE -2 years
ADDITIONAL COURSES -(Any area listed above including foreign language or comparative religion/philosophy) -4 years

They have to complete 10 of the 16 core courses, including seven in English, math or natural/physical science, before the start of their seventh semester. This means before your senior year you have to complete ten of the 16 courses.

Making sure your child has the academic requirements necessary is key.

If you have any questions please let me know.
